A filmmaker takes part as a participant in a neuroscientific study exploring extraordinary states of consciousness. Out of this radical self-experiment, he embarks on a personal filmic inquiry that leads from the clinical setting toward scientific, cultural, and existential approaches to dying.
KATABASIS explores experiences at the threshold between life and death and asks how our attitude toward death shapes the way we live in the here and now.
